What is VT – Variable Temperature - Temperature control
The development of different functions and designs in the electronic cigarette, actually flatlined to a certain extent after the Variable Voltage batteries and MODS hit the market. So what is the next big step under development, and what will actually improve the user experience ?

The Joyetech evic VT 60 Watt MOD is a game-changer for many different reasons. First of all it changes the whole experience of the way you inhale vapor. In conventional vaping the coil temperature increases relatively slowly throughout the period the user is drawing on the device and pressing the button. The coil temperature is influenced by fluid and air flow, so users tend to subconsciously adjust this with the delay between pressing the button and drawing, and by controlling the rate at which they draw. They can also influence the temperature using air and fluid flow control systems with some tanks, and the overall rate of rise is similarly influenced by voltage or wattage settings with some power units, but the general trend is that for the first 3 or 4 seconds of vaping the coil temperature is building up to provide a vapour density that satisfies the user.
So for the first few seconds we are drawing mostly air rather than vapour. For experienced vapers the following few seconds provide an enjoyable experience in taste and flavour, but for new users, and on occasion for those of us with more experience, this is followed by flavour degradation (a “dry hit”) caused by the heater coils getting too warm. The middle of the “vape” is the best part of the experience.
VT – Variable Temperature MODS - THE BIG DIFFERENCE
The Joyetech evic VT 60 Watt MOD approaches the problem from an entirely different angle, by directly controlling the coil temperature. Independent of fluid and air flow conditions, the coil is rapidly heated to a user selected temperature, and by continuously monitoring the change in coil resistance which is caused by temperature change, a closed-loop control circuit then varies the power applied to the coil to keep this temperature constant. The fact that the selected coil temperature is reached in a fraction of a second means that full vapour density is achieved much more quickly, and so the flavour and nicotine delivery are much more intense from the beginning of the draw. The fact that the temperature is then controlled means that there is no flavour degradation through taking long, slow draws. More than that, you can draw as hard or as gently as you want, and even vary the intensity with which you draw through in the same inhalation, and the temperature control ensures the vapour is being evaporated from a coil at constant temperature, so the flavour stays the same.
In a nutshell – conventional vaping tends to have its best part in the middle of a vape, whereas VT vaping extends this golden period to make the whole experience the best bit.
